
THE 2022 Royal Highland and Agricultural Society Show presidential team has unveiled its initiative for this year’s Royal Highland Show.
The honorary president and vice-presidents are appointed each year from within the area where the show would have been held had it still been travelling around the country and this time they are representing the Highlands and Islands.
To celebrate the 200thRoyal Highland Show (RHS), the presidents have used the theme ‘Scotland’s Natural Capital – Highlands and Islands’ to create an exhibition that will focus on tourism and culture and food and drink, as well as renewable energy and tackling climate change.
Honorary president Ewan Macdonald said: “We are immensely proud to have the chance to be host region in this very special year for the Royal Highland Show.
“And we are using the chance to demonstrate how we have survived and thrived for centuries in this part of the world, by using our natural resources.â€
The RHS will run for four days from Thursday, June 23, to Sunday, June 26.
