#farm24 is back and it is time to show the nation that farming is a crucial part of everybody's lives

With so much change, uncertainty and apprehension in the industry, some positivity is exactly what agriculture needs right now, and farming’s biggest digital event, 24 Hours in Farming, can provide just that

#farm24 is back and it is time to show the nation that farming is a crucial part of everybody's lives

This year is certainly one to celebrate too, given it is the 10-year anniversary of the event.

Since 2015, 24 Hours in Farming – or #farm24, as many in the industry call it – has given farmers the chance to form a united voice by building a stratospheric platform to shout about what really happens on British farms.

As the country's food producers navigate their way through policy changes and the raft of international trade announcements, farmers are making it known that Britain's farming practices must be celebrated.

Encouraging consumers to choose British is also of great importance, as is shining a spotlight on the benefits of doing so.

Caring for the environment, protecting the health of the nation, and working to the highest welfare standards in the world – British farmers are doing all of this and more, but without a window into the industry, this work will continue to go unrecognised.

It is time to show the nation that farming is a crucial part of everybody's lives.

This year, 24 Hours in Farming has 13 new ambassadors. Some you will recognise from the TV screens, some are grassroots farmers, and some work various roles within the industry. These ambassadors showcase farming for what it is: diverse and dynamic.

The first two ambassadors this year are:

Frank Carr

Amy Wilkinson

Íæż½ã½ã headed out to Frank's farm in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with fellow ambassador Amy to record this special 24 Hours in Farming podcast.

Save the date

This year, 24 Hours in Farming is bigger and better than ever. Taking place from 5am on August 7 to 5am on August 8, this is farming's chance to really shout about what goes on in a 24-hour period. No matter your role or your background, head to social media on the day and share your unique farming story using #farm24 and tag Morrisons.

From the Íæż½ã½ã interim editor:

"Over the past 10 years, #farm24 has grown and developed into a hugely important date in the farming calendar. It is an opportunity for farmers to not only showcase their role as food producers and custodians of the countryside, but also to highlight the many varied roles that agriculture encompasses.

We cannot wait to see the agricultural community once again get behind this fantastic campaign, connect with the consumer and show everyone exactly what farming is all about."
