#Farm24 Ambassador: Claire Whittle

Claire Whittle is a new entrant farmer and a practising Farm Animal Veterinary surgeon.

She works mainly in dairy practice in the North West and also has her own consultancy business – ‘The Regenerative Vet' which offers tailored advice to farms that are transitioning towards agroecological practices.

Completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Conservation Medicine consolidated her interest in understanding farms as ecosystems and the value of natural capital for animal health.

She also sits on the steering group of the Nature Friendly Farming Network, is a Trustee of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust and is the Veterinary Lead of ‘Dung Beetles for Íæż½ã½ã', an online resource which aims to improve the conservation status of dung beetles throughout the UK.

Claire's particular passion is regenerative farming methods and she was awarded a Nuffield Scholarship to study the benefits of regenerative agriculture on livestock health and welfare.
