National Sheep Association launches new survey on sheep worrying

The National Sheep Association urges farmers to complete its survey looking into the distressing issue of sheep worrying by dogs, to help gain an up-to-date insight on its ‘continued severity and impact' on the UK sheep industry.

Sheep worrying

For more than 10 years, NSA has gathered data from UK sheep farmers on the problem of sheep worrying. ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã are encouraged to complete the survey, which can be found on theThe deadline for the survey is February 21 2025.

NSA chief executive Phil Stocker said: "NSA urges anyone previously affected by this issue to complete this year's survey.

"Your contribution helps to create a more accurate representation on the intensity of the matter, critical for NSA when is working towards increased understanding of the problem, whether that be amongst the dog owning population or those responsible for legislating on this devastating issue."

Free signs warning dog owners to keep their dogs on a lead near livestock are available through ÍæÅ¼½ã½ã's Take the Lead campaign, in association with NSA.
