Growers called to complete harvest survey

The Harvest Survey 2023 closes this Sunday, October 1 and is encouraging farmers to take part.

NFU combinable crops board vice chair James Cox says: "The NFU harvest survey provides important detail on crop yield and quality, helping identify the many challenges that farmers have faced over the past 12 months and how they have adapted to them. We can then use the responses to help champion British arable farming during our lobbying efforts with Government on different policy asks.

Harvest variations

"The more growers that complete the survey the better as this will tell us a great deal about the harvest variations across the country, especially in terms of the impact of the weather. The more widespread data, the more tailored we can be when talking to politicians and the more relevant the case we make to them will be."
